To Life, and Death

I precede today’s quote with a thought: We tend to blame everything (good and bad) on God. Somehow we forget there are two divisions, Satan and God. God does not cause pain or death, Satan does.

With that in mind, I read this yesterday and in light of many recent events it just struck home. So today, I’m quoting a wonderful woman and friend:
“It is true, if we endeavor to make sense of the decisions that are made in the throne room above with our limited human vision, we simply will become disillusioned and bitter. Life on this old earth is not fair. Period. But one day He will show us and we will understand.”

Happy New Year!

I trust everyone had a Merry Christmas and if you didn’t sleep through the fireworks that brought in the New Year, I hope you were at least able to enjoy them! I hope everyone has a Great year in 2015!

Happy New Year!

Words of Wisdom

I found a quote from Steve Jobs today that I like. However I’d change it just a skosh. Here is his quote:

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. – Steve Jobs

Here is my version:

Don’t waste what short time you have here on earth living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of what other people believe to be true – study for yourself what you would know to be truth. Don’t allow the noise of others’ opinions to drown out God’s voice. And most importantly, have the courage to follow God’s leading. He wants you to be someone worth remembering. Everything else is secondary.

Today’s Quote

Your present circumstances don’t determine where you can go; they merely determine where you start.
